Villain shoving range is probably wide enough to make this a profitable call.

I assumed this Villain was a smart player like all of us here at 2p2 and gave him credit for all PPs, all aces and all broadway combinations, which is about top 27% (so I guess the answer to your question bambam is no), and my equity was JUST above 50%, so I definitely think its close.

As a note to that statement, I think his range is that wide because of his given M and the fact that he is the first in the pot gives him more FE. We might be able to add more cards to his range, but chip equity does not equal money equity; plus, I think having 400k+ chips will allow me to boss the medium stacks around more effectively, so it could mean more to me in future hands.

Wow Antes too?

Even without antes he *should* be pushing all pairs, all aces, all two cards 9 and above, and most all SC. (top 32%+)

Were 52/48 or better against that range. With antes, his range should be even wider. All pairs, aces, kings, any two cards both 8 or above, all SC and one gappers, most unsuited no gappers too.

I think this is a pretty easy call myself, unless I have a read that he is a nit, or I know he plays way too tight from optimal.

Even if he is weak, he might just have a poor sense of *which* hands he should be pushing, and he will push all his aces, pairs, and all his sooooted cards or something. Many players will push about half their hands in this spot from the button. If I think he is like that its a snap call. If I really think he folds two thirds or more of his buttons when folded to with this stack size, it can be folded.. but that would be pretty rare. Like It would have to be live and he is old.

I think people are soooo wide in spots like this that I cannot see folding. I likely call A7,pairs,KQ, maybe even KJ.

People overplay the button so often here with any two cards.

Gotta call.
