Default am i overplaying my hand?

alright, i have played MANY MTT's and have become a descent player at them, anyways, i always seem to go out on a hand similar to this. its the 6-handed $200 1st event of the WCOOP on tilt. we are down to 700 people, the avg. stack is 17k, i have 14k and the blinds are 150-300 with a 50 ante. i have been raising very often and also reraising. generally, playing very aggressively. the villain in this hand has reraised me once, where i folded. and another time where i called and check raised the flop all in where he folded. he is very aggressive though and playing a similar style to mine. on to the hand. sorry no converter

me - 14k in chips
villain - 30k

it is folded to me on the button and i raise JJ to 750, he reraises to 3000...whats my play

IF you say call, and the flop is 984, and he bets 3000, then what is my action?

I would shove this hand, especially if villain know you are playing LAG and because you folded to his re-raise in the past. Villain will put you on a very strong hand AKs or JJ+ and will fold anything but QQ or better.

You have a monster hand - shove it in. Sometimes you are up against AA/KK but thats just a cold deck. The chances are big that you are ahead in this hand.

ya i figured its an obvious shove. i guess its just how MTT go, i figured to be way ahead here but unfortunately JJ < AA. o well. i guess since this happens to me so often lately i am second guessing my play.

Don't think shoving in this spot is right. You can call and see the flop. At best I think you are a coin flip favorite at this point. Maybe he has AK AQ. You do have the deception of the button raise where most players raise with most any junk. If the flop comes 9 high you are pretty much now committed to pushing due to the fact that you put him on 2 overs at best. JJ for most people is the worst hand you can see in most positions. Just Pray is all I can say.
