[NL100] Turning two pairs - are the turn and river bets correct ?
at the begining of the session. No particular read on villain.
Poker Room skin No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $55.50 CO: $148.80 Button: $106.55 SB: $84.00 Hero: $92.15 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, Button calls, SB folds, Hero checks. Flop: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2.50, 2 players) Hero bets $2, Button raises to $6, Hero calls. Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($14.50, 2 players) Hero bets $6, Button calls. River: Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($26.50, 2 players) Hero bets $10, Button raises to $30. I don't want to give a free card on the turn but try to keep the pot small, is it an obvious mistake to not more protect my hand in this case ? Could my small value bet on the river looks like a weak blocking bet to villain ? |

Bet way more on the turn. River I think you have to check/fold. It seems too thin to value bet, and an unknown here prob isn't betting anything other than a J.
As played def fold |

I probably stab for $2 like you did on flop, then fold to raise, too hard to play oop imo. but as played, i bet more on turn. maybe c/f or c/c river.

Re: [NL100] Turning two pairs - are the turn and river bets correct ?
I would probably fold to a flop raise. There is no money in the pot, you are out of position, and your opponent seems to like his hand. I would just fold because there is not much to gain. Just lose the 2$ and look for a better spot.
as played though I would c/f on river. |
