Re: 50PLO flop straight w/ redraws, river T high flush
You have no data on the villian? Standard river line is probably bet 1/2 to 2/3 pot and fold to raise. If you knew that he would jump on weakness I would suggest check raising the turn.

Looks like an easy raise preflop... I don't really know the river play as it depends on reads a lot...

Wow, how do you check this in the big blind? You miss out on so much equity by not raising preflop here. Make it $2 to go, everyone will call.

I check call here. [/ QUOTE ] You would call a pot sized bet on the river? Most of the time that is just spew against a random opponent. Wouldn't block betting 1/3 pot be better assuming your opponent doesn't recognize it is a block bet? You may get a call from a worse flush (or maybe even two pair or a set since you make it cheap for him) and can safely fold to a raise. A river raise here is 90% nut flush. |

Re: 50PLO flop straight w/ redraws, river T high flush
Please explain your check/call line. Isn't a flush draw a large percentage of villian's calling range on flop and turn?

Re: 50PLO flop straight w/ redraws, river T high flush
I check call because villains range includes sets/Two pair. I don't want to fold my hand after having the nuts all the way if he raises me on the river(maybe that's being stubborn or even a fish you tell me). Villain could also sense that I don't like the club and bluff with anything in his range, including flushes I beat.
Edit..... Another thought I just had was that I would bet fold if I didn't have the club flush. |

Re: 50PLO flop straight w/ redraws, river T high flush
Raise preflop
Bet $18 on river, fold to a raise. Next time, make sure villian raises you on the flop or the turn, that will make the hand easier. |
