Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Official Thread
I guess I'm probably the only guy in the country that feels this way, but I do feel bad for Rex because both losses are more about our other faults then Rex. I'd place both losses more on Benson then anyone else. He was ineffective and had crucial fumbles in both games. Our inability to establish the run is putting too much pressure on Rex and the defense.

Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Official Thread
IMO, it's tough to establish the run when the other team is stacking the line and just daring you to pass...that usually only works on the college level with superior talent

Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Official Thread
Wow is all I can say about this one. I'm embarrassed to say I'm a bears fan. They looked like a bunch of high schoolers trying to keep up with them. Hester dropped/fumbled 3 returns. Berrian dropped 2-3 catchable balls. Benson fumbled AGAIN while getting no offense going. Sexy Rexy threw 3 interceptions. Archuleta looked confused a good portion of the time tonight. Tillman seemed to be watch T.O. more than guarding him. The D-line couldn't get to Romo. Oh and not to mention the 5 injuries suffered. I mean WTF is that.
I think two major changes need to be made on offense. First and foremost is get rid of Turner. His play calling blows especially when I keep hearing "were a running team" and then they run the ball under 20 carries a game. Secondly, Grossman needs to go. I've been supporting him for the last year and tonight was it for me. He had 1 good drive tonight, I'll give him that, but that's been it for 3 games. I'm still undecided about Benson. I think he needs to be given more of a chance. Get him the ball for 30 carries and see what he does even if he fumbles one, let him stay in and see how he handles himself. I liked Thomas Jones and don't think that they should have gotten rid of him, but they did and this is the situation they wanted so lets actually play the running game. Well at least they are playing the lions next week, maybe Kitna will throw us some Grossman like balls. |

Re: Chicago Bears 2007 Official Thread
To be honest he'd probably drastically improve Benson's running game given the D would have majorly respect the rollout.
But u guys really need to start Greise. Your defense is soli and your running game wouldnt be so bad if you just had a steady hand at QB who the defense would have some respect for |
