You should sign up and bring a whole bunch of insurance product pamphlets. As soon as he tries to sell you a time share, talk over him and offer to sell him insurance. I bet you get out before 4 hours time.

What do people mean when they say these presentations are so "high pressure"? Like is it really that hard to just keep saying no? Honestly asking b/c I realize salesmen can be annoying, but a free vacation just for sitting through a 90 minute presentation seems worth it.

I don't know if you've ever had to endure a multi-level marketing scheme pitch, but I imagine it to be very much like a timeshare pitch. The psychology that they use is brutal and effective if you're not assertive and sure of yourself, and they'll find lots of ways to apply pressure from many different angles.

In my experience, MLM recruitment is very similar to cult recruitment: they like to use isolation, peer pressure, putting people in the spotlight, create a sense of no escape, try to get you to compromise yourself briefly, create a swirl of activity that disorients you, etc. It can be very tough to deal with.
