Default QQ 25nl hand, looks a safe flop, but wtf is with the river shove?

Comments on all streets appreciated, but what range do we assign villain here on the river? No reads at all I'm afraid

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $42.80
BB: $48.88
Hero (UTG): $26.21
BTN: $24.75

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, 2 folds, BB calls $1.00

Flop: ($2.60) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $2.00</font>, BB calls $2.00

Turn: ($6.60) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $5.00</font>, BB calls $5.00

River: ($16.60) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">BB bets $18.00</font>, Hero ????

Up until the river I thought I was taking a jack to value town. At this level, that action fits perfectly with a holding like jack-ten they regularly go broke on on a flop like this (Not to mention all superior jacks). Pocket jacks repops me pre flop, and he's surely not calling with a bare five pre flop, or pocket sixes or pocket eights on the flop (And turn in the latters case)? So what the heck does he have that suddenly shoves the river?

Easy fold? But what is he playing like this? I can't figure him out...The only thing I can think of is he flopped quads!?

I would make the call here... this really looks like AJ/KJ/QJ.. it could be a slow played AA,KK,JJ or 55, but I doubt it.

I meant to talk about AA/KK, I just didn't see him checking them too me twice having flat called OOP, but it is a possibility alright.

looks like he has a 5 to me - but I make the call - if he has it, he has my money.

his range easily includes a lot of Js, 5s, PPs under Js, aa, kk but is weighted heavily enough towards a J hands that i make this call.

I call, he could be bluffing a missed draw, could have just caught 2 pair with like 86, j8, has a jack, or a 5. Either way, I think we are ahead enough times here to call.

Also, I dunno how tight the games on party are, or what villain's stats are, but if he's an unknown (since ya didn't give stats), I think yer giving him too much credit in your paragraph following hand. Fish do stupid [censored] all the time. He could have like 22 here.
