Home-canned pickles pwn. For the mass market however, Batampte Half Sours are clearly the best pickle in the universe.

I had the Bubbies a few months ago and thought they were pretty gross. The pickling spices were too strong and also a little off in their balance. It tended to taste too much like corned beef (I know, corned beef uses pickling spices) and not enough like dill. There's a pretty good brand in MN (I don't know if you can find them everywhere, I can't find them in Illinois) called Gedney that are pretty good.

That's what im afraid of. I like a clean, fresh, pickle. I really dont think you can match a Claussen. And you can get them anywhere in the US at any kroger.
