most delicious pickle?
my vote goes to claussen's dill pickle.
is this the end of the thread? if there is a more delicious pickle in existence, i would like to know about it. also, bread and butter pickles are disgusting. |

Re: most delicious pickle?
My grandfather makes his own pickles, and they are better than any store bought pickle I've had.

Re: most delicious pickle?
I think I'll have to go with my grandmother's home-pickled pickles made from cucumbers she grew in her garden.
Edit: Wham, triple pwned. |

Actually, my mother-in-law actually makes great pickles. Extra garlicky. Yum. Of course, I wait until I see that she lets my wife eat one before I dig in. |

Home made rules, but for non home made, Vlasic is the bomb.

Re: most delicious pickle?
grandma's kids,
i expected many to say home-pickled pickles are the best. yads, i have had side by side comparisons of claussen vs vlasic. i, and everyone else, went with the claussen on both crispness and taste. dom, i have never had a bubbie's pickle, but will pick up a jar if i ever come across it. "not even close" sounds a bit like pickle hyperbole to me though. maybe if some others chime in with that recommendation. |
