I can make efforts to change the game at the risk of getting 86ed and since I don't mind getting 86ed I'm wondering just what efforts I can make. This hinges on how easy an illegal game can 86 some one.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you don't care about getting kicked out, then why does it matter how easily they can 86 you?

What's the rake there anyway? Pretty much everywhere in Manhattan you're paying $5/30min.

[/ QUOTE ]

10% no cap in a NL game.

There's next to no chance I'd even threaten to rat this game out but i might make an effort to get a couple other players semi-organized in protesting the rake.

Protest the rake how? By stomping your feet? No longer playing there? You have no moves here. If you don't plan to rat them out, then why explore that possibility? What are you hoping to gain here? You can't get what you want, so you piss on everybody else? What's your motivation? You're a loose cannon. Do everybody a favor and simply stop going if it bothers you so much.

Let me guess, you're 22, and have only recently been playing games that weren't online or in a dorm or in someone's parents' basement?

Well done. You considered it for 10 seconds and that lead you to conclude I have no outs.

I have outs. There are a handful of regulars that start the games. Just a little united action can cut the house earn by a bunch. Then it's only -EV for the greedy manager and +EV for everyone, even the fish, even the dealers if we cut or cap the rake.

Looking at your posts, I don't see much consistency, other than your hot-headedness. Yet I'm at fault for not knowing what your plan is? You have the entire home/bar poker community telling you that you're approaching this in exactly the wrong way, yet you continue to insult those attempting to prevent you from making what could be a very big mistake. At best you get booted from the game. At worst... well, have fun picking your teeth up off the floor... if you're lucky.

How about you lay down some projections, let us know what you think might happen, and how you plan to follow-up?

Ah, I just glanced at a bit of your history and see that you spend most of your time in Politics.

That explains a great deal. It's not my duty to save you, but just know that there's a better way of life than that ruled by polarized thinking.

Since it's in a bar and it's an illegal game, I don't know if you can get rid of this guy without risking the entire game. What did this guy do that's so reprehensible?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is hypothetical. I'm wondering just exactly how much I can push these folks as a player to reduce their obscene rake before they boot me and I then pay them back. It's all about me trying to assess how much power I hold here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, so you're saying you're the douchebag?

I strongly dislike people like you.
You don't like the rake? Take a walk....

Y'all must not be really serious poker players.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you just equate being an [censored] with "serious poker player"?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not a soul here gets it. The implied threat is as good as the act. It's a poker game w/o cards and y'all are too stupid to see it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would close down my game for a month just so I could beat the [censored] out of you for trying to shake me down.

For real, though...
