Default Jackpot rake at UB and AP still beatable?

hi

So, I'd heard about the added jackpot rake at Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker, and had heard concerns that these sites might not be beatable any more with the additional rake. I was wondering if anybody who has played there recently could shed any light on the matter.

I'm looking for a new site to run off to after having cleared bonuses at FTP and Stars. I play $0.50/$1 limit.

Thanks!

There's been multiple threads on this, a quick search would likely find you something. I'm pretty sure the consensus was that the games were pretty tough to beat with that extra rake.

If you're not American, you have a lot of better site choices...but I assume from the sites you have listed that you are.

Sorry. That's my way of both pointing out that Tom Petty is great and that I am American.

I'm having trouble finding the threads you're referring to. Closest thing I could find was a single post in the "Good site for bonus and rakeback" thread that said:

I was playing at Absolute and Ulitmate Bet, but I'm leaving because of the bad beat jackpot. It simply negates any money you would make off of bonuses there.

If you could point me to any other threads, it would be greatly appreciated!

The best player in the world couldn't beat .5/1 limit at those sites with the BBJ (not counting rakeback, bonuses, or BBJ equity).

Agreed on Petty, and sorry to hear that you're American. Nothing wrong with being American, just tough to be an American bonus whore.

Try this. Searched using +absolute +bbj -re: in this forum for the last 3 months. I'm sure I could find more by refining those terms, but that's a good start for you.
