4/180 FT - Bet this river?
Villain is 2p2. Is betting the river pretty much mandatory in this spot?

AQ should have c-bet this flop. Since his lead was almost pot-size, there's no need to raise KQ;QJ if he's semibluffing a FD or trying to rep a 3. I don't see any value in betting river this thin here. |

Ick....I hate it when I do this.
Fold preflop Bet Flop; if you have a read and can represent strength, fire a 3rd barrel on a ck raise or else fold. As played fold turn. On the river you are def. behind; can you get him to lay it down? What would he lay down that he's played this way. ck and muck and hope he doesn't look at the hand history. |

Re: 4/180 FT - Bet this river?
as already pointed out this is the place for a c-bet with both villains showing weakness and a good flop texture.
i also fold this preflop as you have a very healthy stack. with the turn bet from villain this pot is gone, i'd fold. |

Re: 4/180 FT - Bet this river?
I don't mind the pf raise since I like attacking the blinds and if anyone r/r it's easy enough to get away from.
I'd c-bet the flop and if I meet any resistance I'm done with the hand. as played I check behind the river because I really don't know if he's folding |

Re: 4/180 FT - Bet this river?
I don't mind preflop.
This flop is fairly ideal to cbet, it's likely to have missed opponents & because your up against the blinds they're unlikely to have pocket pairs, so you're taking this down a lot. Fold turn...if you really want to make a play raise more, you've called to make the pot 20K and fired only 10K more, if you'd have made it 16K more to a total of 22K he'd have much worse odds & it looks like your committed so he pretty much has to make a decision for all his (effective) stack, which means he folds more hands & you can give up very easily on river. As played a river bet does work some of the time but my gut feeling is not enough of the time. Hard to work out what hands he's calling it with & what he's folding. |

Re: 4/180 FT - Bet this river?
I'm SB if that changes anything, and I think it does since him cbetting that flop is not going to work as often since I am capable of calling here to fire later. I really don't think it's a great flop to cbet being 3-way and so raggedy.
