Default NL100 K2s

villian is 16/4.5 over a small sample

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $112.10
BB: $100.00
UTG: $52.25
UTG+1: $100.00
MP1: $21.80
MP2: $96.55
Hero (CO): $126.45
BTN: $147.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8 Players)
4 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, BTN folds, SB calls $3.50, BB folds

Flop: ($9) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $5.00, Hero calls $5.00

Turn: ($19) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $5.00

backdoor draws are always nice, and Im clearly not folding, does everyone attack his weak bet?

if the turn was a Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] would that change a call to a raise(if you call turn)

I love these hands. I've not raised K2s from the CO yet...need to get that stuff going at the right moments some point soon.

Anyway, I'd say he's almost certain to have an underpair here, probably 77,88, 55 or whatever. Most of the time when I see the same amount on both streets, someone's just begging to get raised off and get away from it. Considering your hand is behind atm and you probably won't get paid off on the river anyway, I think a raise is good now to get him to fold the best hand. If he calls, we still have the outs. If he reraises, well...we'll have to see what price we're getting and probably discount the pairing heart outs some.

I think I'd def raise the Q or A of hearts for sure. As is, I think id just take the cheap draw.

I put villain on top pair, so we have plenty of outs. Thus, we have the odds to call, while getting three bet sucks.

If villain bets weakly on the river again, I consider taking the pot away then. Villain will not put us on a draw.

Call with outs; take the pot away on the river if you miss.

He's giving you a great price to draw. Punish him for it and take the cheap draw.

You're gonna be screwed if you raise and then he jams.

We can still bluff the river if we don't get there.

Sadly many will figure this out once that damn book comes out but....

basically the pot is too small and you are to deep compared to the pot to semi bluff raise this ON THE TURN. flop woulda been a diff story.

Now as far as his bets...... It looks like he is betting A-a really strong hand that he wants you to raise or B- a worse heart draw. Either way you gain nothing from raising ether of those hands. If he has the jack then it depends what you read is on him (making a call the best play most of the time given the average players proclities)

Theres a bit more to it than that but i suck at writing and will stop now.

In my experience when people do this they usually have 77 or something. They have no clue if they are good or not, so they make these tiny bets to prevent you from raising them out of the pot. With a hand as weak as that he's not going to pay off a lot on the river.

Sure, calling is +EV because of pot odds, but raising may be higher EV.
