Default Free Nath

All--

Based on the results of some 2+2 searches and time-stamps (and some text messages), I'm pretty sure Nath's been banned.

I read a whole bunch of the relevant material, and it seems completely absurd to me that Nath would be banned for saying what he said. Mostly he's complaining about something that he sees as unfair, and making justified* and strongly worded, but ultimately respectful, arguments to that effect.

I need to point out here what a first-rate guy Nath is. If I didn't have to proctor an exam in a few short hours I'd go on far longer, but let me at least begin by saying that he's friendly, generous, positive-thinking (really), entertaining, open-minded, honest, grateful to his friends and fair to his enemies... I could go on and on.

If Nath's ban stays in effect, it will just be more evidence that "fair and vigorous debate," or whatever that little 2+2 motto-ish phrase is, is a sad sick joke.

If you've read this far you might as well go read the locked MTTc thread and then ask yourself if what Nath said was more objectionable than any of dozens of things said daily in MTTc. I happen to think that it's not objectionable at all. If I ever conduct myself the way Jurollo did** I hope that people use far harsher language toward me.

Pathetic display, 2+2.

*"justified" doesn't mean "objectively, beyond doubt, correct," of course

**the sum of Jurollo's actions, not just the fantasy football thing

wtf? perma or temp?

EDIT: i realize a thread like this would probably only exist in a permaban, but permabanning nath seems just clinically insane

BTYS--

Not sure how long the ban is, but anything is absurd in this case.

Obviously this sucks as he is one of the cooler members.
Does it have anything to do with the avatar he was using today or just because he was so anti Jurollo in that one thread?

He's a huge whining bitch, but I don't see anything remotely banworthy there.

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] nath fwiw.

I don't really know anything about the circumstances of this ban, but I can definitely confirm this general testimonial.

No idea. Maybe this was just one of those "take THAT!" bans.
