Default Spread LHE: 2/6

This might also fit in the SSHE forum.

A buddy of mine just got back from a short Vegas trip. On the way back he stopped at Stateline and played for about an hour at a spread LHE game. I'd really like to find out more exact details, but I believe he said that the format was 2-6 with only one blind of $2. Kind of different but then again I have never played spread limit. He said that the pots got pretty big to what he thought they were going to be. $70-$100+ at times. He also said that it was difficult to limp in with some spec hands cause there would almost alway be raises and reraises. Anyone ever play this game? I think it may have been Buffalo Bills but not positive. He said that he bascially waited for premium holdings ans just raised them the maz all the time. He showed down one hand and walked a winner with the large pot. Is this pretty much the suggested style of play at this game? Apparently a lot of peole were busting out of this game cause they only sat with $40

Hey Frond,

It sounds like your friend stumbled accross the Nugget Casino in Wendover Nevada (the Stateline doesn't exist anymore, was bought out by Nugget) There are three casinos in this town that have poker rooms and all three only play either spread limit or ssnl.

The nugget has only one blind of $1 and is a 1-5 spread limit game, the Montego Bay has two blinds of $1 and $2 and is 2-5 spread limit, and the Rainbow is 2-5 spread with a full kill.

The strategy in these games is a little different in that you cannot limp 85% of the time you will get raised so the name of the game is premium hands and value betting the hell out of them. people call you down with everything from bottom pair to ace high and it's easy money if you have time and patience.
