Bet. Decent chance he folds right here if not you can easily have the best hand. I would check river UI if he calls turn and checks river again.

I assume you are not betting river UI if you bet the turn. If so I think checking has a bit of merit - It protects you from getting c/r - It might induce a bluff on the river by QJ, JT, QT, 22-77 (84 combos yo!). Note that this is only great if these hands folds to a turn bet - When you improve, betting and checking will often win you the same as you get to raise a river bet quite often. - If he calls a turn bet with those broadway draws you save a bet when he sucks out as you can now fold to a river bet. - His broadway straight draws dont have that many outs because of your fd I am not saying c > b. I just wanna push a point that I think too many miss. Namely that whenever you dont have a valuebet on both turn and river, then you should at least consider checking the turn. (I guess its kind of a NL thing?) |
