Default Brag: My first \"baller\" watch

I spotted this at the Ben Bridge store at the Fashion Show Mall during the off-day I had during day 1c at Bellagio Cup and loved it, telling myself I'd buy it if I made the event's FT.

I played with Alan Sass and we talked about watches (Surindar Sunar's watch prompted the convo), and he said he'd never buy a Rolex, because too many poker players already wear one, but I was undeterred.

So....

Brag: I've always wanted a "baller" watch since I started playing poker tour, and 2.5 years later I finally got one. The crocodile band is dope, too.

Beat: Wearing an expensive watch is sort of absurd and unnecessary.

Variance: When I bought the watch on the day of the final table, I didn't know how much money I'd be locking up, and even after the money I took away from the fourth place finish, I still couldn't really "afford" it, but I still think it's a strong purchase.

I prefer the GMT or Yachtmaster series, but I have to say that looks very nice. Not the usual Rolex look. Congrats.

Whilst the image loaded I saw rolex and thought 'oh dear OP BUT that is one classy watch, nice choice; looks understated which is the best thing you can get with a baller watch GJ.

(ps what is your avatar a pic of? characters from the wire?)

I don't particularly like the contrast in colour between the face and base, but I love the rest

this is the nicest balla watch I've seen on the site though

More elegant than the typical gaudy Rolex.

Being a geat devotee of your blog; one thing I greatly admired of you was that I infered you were not the sort of person whom would sport a flashy watch or partake in such bourgeoisie indulgences. HOW WRONG I WAS! Just kidding- Its a very nice watch. It is a BBV tradtion to make note of the price though, no?
