Default from mr gatorade. he was banned by me

Hello,

I dont know who this goes to but I am a little concerned that now with my
account permanently banned I cant check my PM's or even read the threads. It
says I have repeatedly posted personal information about other users and this is
simply false. Please review my last posts and you will see I have never
divuldged ones true name, address, phone number or any sensitive information to
the public, ever. I have been insturmental on 2+2 by getting many bots banned
and money confiscated for the greater good of online poker and done lots of good
work with other 2+2er's. I dont think this is reasonable esspecially if you
read my PM's from user "Dean." and other converstions that say I will get
permanently banned because he knows the moderators and so forth. I thought as
long as I dont break your terms and conditions I can not be banned because of
some negative bias towards me. If you could please review my so called "crime"
and see for yourself if it is grounds for permanently banning me I will go with
whatever you say I just hope I will still be able to use your PM service and at
least read threads of other users.

Thanks,
Crazy Mike (MrGatorade)

Mat - As anyone who has met mike knows he comes across as being semi-retarded, the guy has a very weird sense of right and wrong, but I don't think he really means bad. If he apologizes and promises to never do that again would you consider letting him back? It might be a good balance, keeping Mike on the forum is safer for the industry than spinning him out on his own.

Dean asked me to help him with Mike when he was outed a few weeks back, I think there is a thread about it here in the mod forum (I'm running out the door, can someone provide a link?)

He seems like a likable enough guy sometimes, but it was made very clear that he wasn't to out people in the future. He made a choice know he has to live with it.

daryn, mat:

As I've written before, I think it is ridiculous to ban anyone or even edit posts that link anonymous online poker names to usernames on an anonymous online forum.

Anyone who wants to keep their poker site name secret can do so very easily. If their name is outed, it's because they told someone.

There is also a ridiculous set of double standards regarding what sort of stuff is posted about people who are not part of the "in crowd" on certain forums. Some of the people who most vehemently complain about poker name "outings" and such crap are often the same people who post all manner of detailed information about the play of non-2+2 opponents.

It most certainly is in my book. He's f'ing with people's ability to make a living. You can say that they suck if they can't adapt to people knowing who they are or whatever, but it's still a detriment to them. One that could easily deter then from participate in strat discussions in the future because they think whatever they post will be used directly against them.

No one should be banned for saying that "XXX on Stars plays like..." That doesn't change whether XXX is a 2+2'er or not. Just don't say XXX is El Diablo.
