Default A 24 wide and a 20 wide...possible?

Is there a problem with this setup? You run the 24 wide at its native resolution (whatever it is, I forget), and you also run the 20 at its native resolution...

Possible, impossible, problems?

Muchas thanks.

I don't get what you're asking. You just want to run two screens at their native resolution at the same time? Totally possible

Yah, 1 desktop, 2 diff screens at 2 diff resolutions.

1 vid card, possible? or you need 2?

I really should know these answers, but unfortunately I don't.

my 24" runs at 1920x1200. my 20"'s run at 1600x1200. the 20" wide runs at 1680x1050. 1 video card is possible if your video card has both a dvi and standard monitor connections. thanks to Freakin's advice, the best combo with a 24" wide is a standard 20".

Why is it only possible if it has both DVI and analog? What if it has 2 DVI?

Any explanation as to why 24 wide + 20 nonwide is best?

Regards,
A moron

Most new monitors have both dvi and analog connections so it doesnt matter what your video card has. though it will be better quailty if you run both through dvi.

Look at the resolutions between the 20wide and 20standard. the 20standard 'matches' better with the 24. also the 20standard will be 'taller' than the 20wide so it will 'fit' better next to the 24.

heres a picture of my 24 next to my 20.
