gaucho,

fwiw, I am super results-oriented too. Whenever I have a losing session I hate myself until I win it back, and always blame myself regardless of coolers, bad beats, whatever. It can be a good mindset but it can also be very unhealthy. I sometimes question if I'm a good player after the slightest losing session.

After I reraise pre and spike a lucky flop, the hand plays itself. I really don't think you wanna be folding here vs. mostly anyone.

reads like an honest and logical response KoD, but now we are doing this honest thing: would you ever 3barrelbluff this board in a reraised pot? Seems like a suicide mission from your side of the hand, so i am not so sure if Gaucho should be calling all streets even though it seems pretty standard from his point of view.

ya, how is the AA hand a cooler? Maybe he doesn't know what cooler means?

i thought a cooler meant a hand that neither player could do anything about. In a 100bb, reraised pot on a 93xdd board, there is no way king isn't stacking off with AA. Therefore, when he beats my 333 with an ace on the river, it was a cooler because there was "nothing" he could do.

In this hand, I could have
1) 4-bet preflop
2) chk raised or led the flop
3) open shoved the turn

and not check called off 200bbs where there is such a low percentage chance that king is bluffing the river (or turn, for that matter). I don't see how my hand was a cooler, whereas his AA was an easy cooler.

But then again, maybe I don't know what cooler means, i'm studying for the bar right now so i'm pretty tilted,

a cooler would be if you had KK and he had AA and flop was AKx.

what you describe in the AA vs 33 is what we like to call "a bad beat".
