I have only briefly paid attention to this, but I believe this year is the first time in like 10 years that FIFA > PES. However that's judging the FIFA '08 full game vs. the PES 2008 demo so who knows, maybe PES will pull it out. Interestingly, however, PES2008 PS3 got a 9.2 on UK IGN (FIFA '08 got a 7.9).

fwiw i thought the pc demo of PES2008 was better and that gameplay was way improved. I guess it would depend though.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, after playing the demo (and still currently playing), those review scores ran through my mind as well. I feel the game moves way too fast. As a long time player of WE (PES), I'm truly disappointed with Konami's attempt. I'd say that the game is way too easy but I'm sure it's on an amateur difficulty setting. I also wish Konami tried to make the game more presentable. Wow . . . . . . it's ugly.

Its hard to really gauge the game because it is a demo. It looked to me like a lot of options were missing. The game play was fun for me, but I need to become acclimated to the new controls and controller.
Haven't played FIFA yet, so I can't compare. But as I said earlier, its either one, not both that I will buy.

Waaaaaaait, what? Didn't this year's Winning Eleven just come out in January? Is the new one due out soon?
btw, PES 2008 (Euro version) = 9.2 at IGN EDIT: And while I'm looking at reviews, CoD4 got 10/10 in OXM and Mass Effect got 9.75 (scanned review) from GameInformer. Awesome holiday season coming up or what?!?!
