This is correct, unless you're eating at Nobu 57, which is a possibility considering the hotels you mentioned.

Out of those listed above, I recommend the Soho Grand, although I've heard good things about 60 Thompson.

If you stay at the Thom, there is a private roof deck that is the best place to hang out below Houston in NYC. Only guests and card holders permitted (I was able to scam a card but I had to pull teeth to do it), its crawling with bold faces names on beautiful evenings.

My other favorite is the Mercer, but thats because I work next door so I hang there all the time. Its probably the best mix of old & new world in NY.
