Default Different books for different sports?

I know about the "Must have books" thread and just had a question which wasn't specifically addressed there. I was wondering if people find that certain books are better suited to certain sports? Basically, I've started playing small units on NHL and NBA games but wanted to branch out a bit from Pinney. I noticed that the "Must have books" thread recommends Skybook for the NBA because of the free 1/2 point (although I have been playing more MLs than point spreads in both NBA and NHL games). I also noticed that Carib has -105 for one hour a day (although not sure which hour) and that Cascade claims to have it all the time (if requested upon signup).

So does anyone recommend a particular book for NHL and/or NBA lines? I'll likely stick with Pinney for football, but would love some advice on where to branch out to next based on what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.

skybook free 1/2 for basketball is only good on fridays this season. for cascade, sign up with -105 instead of the 10% bonus because you can't switch it later, and the reduced juice will save you more money in the long run.

sportbet has the free 1/2 on thursday and -105 on tuesday.

I don't play NHL but someone else can chime in with that info.

Carib is a really interesting study IMO. Very useful for people who have dime sized units or that bet high variance stuff. As their sticky bonus goes up in value dramatically as you are able to put everything on higher odds.

What is their sticky bonus? I was actually just looking at their site and looking at the 50% bonus with 10x bonus rollover requirement. And not too sound like I completely don't know what I'm talking about, but what do you mean by dime sized units?

Their bonus is sticky, like a casino sticky. Only for wagering. I'm pretty sure you are familiar with this. I am however, somewhat confused by the 10x requirement. Whenever I have done their bonus and reloads it just gives you a set amount on "credit". Basically as your Risk of Ruin increases so does your EV on the bonus. But it is only Risk of Ruin there.

Dime sized units would be 1000. Basically making entire deposits there on one game or two.

Ok I got it. Had to dig a little deeper but I found the sticky language. Thanks for the heads up on that. I think I've seen an article in the past no how to get the most out of those kinds of bonuses (using parlays maybe?).

So would you consider Carib a decent option for me to use as a regular book (aside from my account at Pinney which I'm trying to use just for football)?

Jibba,

Off hand without knowing your wager size etc. I'd say probably no. I can occasionally find the best line there but the lines are pretty vanilla more or less.

I'd rather take a 5% cash bonus somewhere like SB than the sticky there unless you plan to stick it on a high EV high RoR line like +1000 or more. Or arb it out.

I've heard rumors that Cascade is planning on going full juice in the near future. At this point, this is little more than a rumor, but I have heard it from a couple of independent sources.

Just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for all the help Thremp. For the time being I decided to forgo bonuses and just go with Matchbook since the MLs are usually pretty good over there (and the most comparable to Pinney). I figure since this is more of a longterm thing I'm better off with less juice than with getting a small bonus.
