Default KK line check

MP 41/11/1.4
Butoon 52/19/3

Hero has $120, UTG & button both cover

Hero in MP with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

UTG raises $2, Hero re-raises, $9, Button calls $9, UTG calls $9

Flop $28

8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Check, hero bets $26, Button calls, UTG calls

turn $106,

2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

check, hero bets $55, Button folds, UTG calls.

River $218

6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG shoves, Hero calls $30

My main worry was the turn but 1 I didn't want to check with button behind me or give a free card to the ace.

yeah, push turn, no reason leaving $30 behind you when it still wouldn't even be a pot-sized bet.

overall, looks good though

I guess there was no reason not to shove the turn but plenty of reasons to do so.

Now for a leading question. Is there any point at which I can get away from the hand without losing my stack if behind?

Given the action, no. Given your hand, no. In short, no.

Hoorah! UTG had flopped a set of 6s which quadded up on the river.

This was in no way intended to be a beat post, but when running very bad you do need to question whether a hand where you got stacked could be avoided. Happy that I played it OK now.
