Re: (109) Mid-game play, QQ gets c/r\'ed on a K-high flop
I'd generally check/call all the way unless an A falls on this super-dry board, and hope he tries to take it away at some point, unless I'm convinced I'm beat, which is read-dependent. Betting really seems pointless unless you are nth-leveling.

Actually I'd just go all-in PF but that's another story [/ QUOTE ] Umm, I hope it's a drunk story that involves lots of boobies because open shoving QQ here makes absolute no sense. |

Re: (109) Mid-game play, QQ gets c/r\'ed on a K-high flop
[ QUOTE ]
I'd probably check the flop. I'd rather check then push and I'm never big on bet/folding as you all know. You might be too short to finesse but I think I'd take my chances here. You are gonna get pot stuck if you decide to call the turn but the chance that he has a king shold be low enough to make it work. [/ QUOTE ] I like checking here often as well. Unless SB is a donk who will playmake with worse hands fairly often, if you're going to war after getting C/R'd on this flop, you might as well check behind the flop, and be prepared to go to war on Turn absent an Ace hitting (or at least go to war if he leads out on the Turn, if he checks you have more options) - against a "normal" player you get action/chips out of many more worse hands this way. You get outdrawn every now and then, but the hands you're ahead of have very few outs, and you can always change your plan if an Ace hits on the Turn. |

Little late but I vote 250 preflop and check the flop.
As played seems like a fold. |

Re: (109) Mid-game play, QQ gets c/r\'ed on a K-high flop
I think bet/folding this flop with 14bbs effective is terrible. I check behind, let him bluff all day, there's not many hands that can suck out and few worse hands are calling you.

This thread is much less lol now that decent players have responded, .
