Default C-bet?

Is continuation betting here really necessary when the check-call is so obvious? MP is a decent multitabler.

Ultimate Bet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $15.65
BB: $61.05
UTG: $56.20
MP: $55.20
CO: $44.55
Hero (BTN): $49.25

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.75, CO calls $1.75, Hero raises to $8.00, 2 folds, MP calls $6.25, CO folds

Flop: ($18.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
MP checks, Hero... ?

Why is the check call so obvious? If he is a decent player, what is his raise range from MP that doesn't push a squeeze play? I think I bet about $10 here, and unless he c/r me that is the last money going into the pot unless an A/K turns and then I may still check the turn for pot control. Do you have his fold to a c-bet % handy while playing?

I'd c-bet about 12. You've got to bet this flop against a guy who might be in auto-pilot mode. Give up if he calls and no A or K comes.

This is a standard c-bet spot.

You are c-betting because you think he is paying attention. You 3-bet him pre-flop. He called, so I would assume his holdings include AK, AQs-AJs, TT-22, maybe JJ. If he had AA-QQ, I expect a 4bet many times, but he could also smooth call there. The c-bet puts the pressure on all those hands he normally raises and called a 3-bet with to fold unimproved. If you can get AK or a PP to fold here, you are making money with the c-bet. If he only folds AQs-AJs, then you should check behind. If he calls your flop c-bet, you are done unless you turn an ace or king.

Uhh this ones gonna have to be read Dependant, do you know what villains calling range is vs. 3bets?

If I feel he is calling light than a 10 dollar cbet is in order, but if I feel like he is calling with 99+ a lot of the time Im just going to give up this flop... there are times where a cbet would be spew vs. certain players who only call 3bets with strong holdings.
