I don't think any of them are worried about being arrested for it nor should they be.

Does this mean we're true outlaws since we have such a devil-may-care attitude towards our criminal behavior?

There is no attitude towards our 'criminal behavior' since there is nothing criminal about the behavior.

If there were specific laws about PLAYING internet-poker from the states and there was even the slightest chance you could be prosecuted I think many of us would think twice about playing on the internet and/or cases completely.

Some people believe it is illegal to play poker on the internet but except in a few states this is not the case. I believe the UIGEA is pretty specific that it does NOT make it illegal for the players.

"I believe the UIGEA is pretty specific that it does NOT make it illegal for the players".

The UIGEA states that it relies on existing Federal and State Laws...This is why the acknowledgement by the DoJ witness, the Honorable Catherine Hanaway, that it is not illegal for an individual to place a wager on the Internet. Was such a huge acknowledgement to us..Everybody should view this hearing..The DOJ came under great pressure not only on this point but on there selective enforcement of gambling Laws..The DOJ stance has been that ALL internet gambling is illegal(including horse racing and lotteries)..

Don't worry you won't be arrested for online gambling.

Well a couple of years ago, I would say the same thing about downloading music.

...You have no valid reason to create a new account...There is nothing to fear...

Do you think everyone who had funded their FT, Stars, ABS, or TP account with Neteller went and made a new account because they were afraid of being associated with Neteller?
Seriously you have no reason to worry. Go back to your old account and fund in the way you want/TP will allow.

Default TRUEPOKER, no problem, for either a new account or email Support

PokerguySteve,

You will have no problem creating a new TruePoker account, if that is what you want. It is not necessary to do so, however. You can change your deposit method on your old account. I'll make sure and mention this to Support if you need help.

We accept epassporte or credit cards for US players. We also will accept a cashiers check, and pay a 10% immediate bonus on that type of deposit, up to $50 + your FedEx fee if you want to send it that way.

Email marketing@truepoker.com, if you have any questions.

TruePoker CEO

"In the U.S. there are literally thousands and thousands of players on PokerStars and FullTilt and other sites ..."

ALL of them are welcome to open accounts at TruePoker, we do offer a 100% First Time Deposit bonus for new players.

Default Re: PM box full .....

My mailbox is perpetually full. The issue is for me has always been that I do not check it daily and left it full so that people would not think I was ignoring their messages. You can always reach me at management@truepoker.com or through support@truepoker.com.

(I'll ask Mason if it would be possible for posters to get email alerts when a pm arrives. If I knew something new was there, I would check for it.)
