Default jam fold jam fold jam fold- bugger

the background is this. I been playing a high stakes live tourney festival this week, and thought i would post my exit hands here to pick your brains. Thanks for the response to my last post. here is todays example.

$1000 200 runner freezeout.
45 min clock. day 2.
38 left. i have average stack of 40k . blinds 1.5k 3k
10 handed table. 20 spots pay. top spot pays 60k

with 13.5bbs my plan is to preferably look for a re ship spot rather than opening, and i feel its gamble time.

a middle position, seat 6 i think, shortish player with 18k open shoves. i am in cutoff with ace jack.

villain is decent tourney player, i have his range pretty wide here, all pairs, most suited connectors kq, kjss ace8+.

the 3 stacks behind me all have me covered

Jam or fold folks?

ps i cant figure out this damn pokerstove thing being a techno retard before anyone points me there

ps its the main event tomorrow , a £2000 bucko freezeout. gl gl me (i will post the tears and pain here also from that one )

i'd say fold...you have have a lot of other spots to pick and aj is too often dominated of faced with a qq-aa hand. 18k still has a decent amount of time to pick a spot so I think best case is he's raising with 88-TT but most of the time you're dominated.

You should base your decision on...

(1) previous plays and betting patterns
(2) your read on the player that moved in
(3) the state of mind the table is in
(4) is this guy steaming
(5) does HE KNOW that there's plenty of time to pick a spot

You shouldn't just throw it away because the books say to do so.

easy shove. given villain's description you should be ahead of his range.
