Yeah, I've seen the *high* trips a few times here and there (just today lost a pot to someone who played JJJQ and runner-runnered the high straight). J999 and JJJQ are obviously terrible hands, but you can at least think of them as being worth 1/4 as much as a regular (playable) hand, since you have some shot at scooping with set / FH / straight. 5553 on the other hand ... I would have to think it's in the bottom 3% of PLO8 hands.

When I first started playing SNGs at PokerStars I donked off several hundred dollars at NLHE SNGs. Now, after going on a small tear at the $15+$1 O8 turbos, I'm finally in the black (change from NLHE to O8 is around game #100):

And the last SNG I sat at was Omaha Hi (oops! second time I made that mistake) but I managed to take 1st place anyway [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I beat the $0.25 PLO8 games easily enough, and the $0.50 games don't seem much tougher. Seems like whenever I move up I get something like the following, though...
