Default Fold set v LAG ?

Villian is 46\24. Total agg 1.58 wsd 26. Hes obviously very loose and aggressive but definitely seems to have a good idea of his image and i havent seen him spew in any big pots. (I've seen him stack off with top pair, weak kicker several times in 100BB pots).

I feel i should have just bet 400 on turn but my thoughts at time were he had overpair or set to call my flop raise, therefore betting turn would get me stacked by all higher sets and allow him to fold QQ, JJ etc.

You have to call.

Especially when you check the turn when the Ace hits, making it look as though you might have Tx or something that didn't like the ace.

Given your turn check, this range is very wide, including straight, sets, all kinds of 2-pair hands, top-pair good kickers, and even 1-pair hands trying to push you off your hand or air.

I think I would have bet the turn and expected a CRAI from hands like AK/AQ/AT.

a turn check isn't horrible here at all, 2 streets of value is pretty unlikely after that card falls.
i think that it is a bet tho against this guy.
river is a blah spot but you gotta call i guess

Flop raise sucks and whoever said you can't get three streets of value is dumb.

Turn check is good if villain folds a lot. There are some people who are very scared of the A and there are people that will call three streets with Tx anyway. This is what determines if you bet the turn.

Call the river.
