Default Re: My ISP and Bandwidth Usage - I Think I\'m Getting Screwed

Hmm ... I've never used the linksys but it surprises me that it doesn't provide these stats (it's well thought of). Does the modem have an interface? It's unlikely that somebody is using your wireless network, but you could check it out or disable it so you know for sure. Are you cable or DSL?

The wan port that you are plugging the connection from the modem is the one separated from the 4 ports you are plugging the computers into? On my router it is labeled internet.

The high usage makes sense if you plugged the internet connection into a regular port since all the packets on those ports go to each port. Also, packets are packets of bandwidth. If that isn't the case definately call up support at your ISP and see how they are measuring, they shouldn't see anything behind the router.
