Default Who`s losing?

I am playing Nl400 and soon moving up to Nl1000 and i really asked myself, who are the guys, which pay me?

I can understand if someone with noBr Management deposits 100$ 3-4 times and lose it at Nl100, but are there the same guysat Nl100 and above?

People take shots, alot of the loser @ the bigger stakes are smaller players taking shots @ big wins. Also there are people out there with $ to burn and play big to satisfy their egos.

It sounds like you assume the only people you can beat are horrible gamblers. Is that the case and if so, why?

If you only play on the weekends it might be true.

"are there the same guysat Nl100 and above?"

probably but fewer.

guys who deposit, run it up and lose. They play terrible, but they think theyr good. Alot of players think theyr great and will score big sometimes, some just seek it higher and deposit more then others..

That's what makes the higher levels more difficult. Most of the losing players are either quickly gone or have a lot of experience at lower levels, and aren't throwing money away, they are just not good enough.

I think that over 90% of the 100nl players with a vpip > 30 are like this.
I would guess that over 75% of said players at 200nl are like this too.

I haven't played over 200nl, so I would take a stab and guess that 33-50% of 1knl games are so also, but since I don't play over 200, I'm pulling that number out of my arse

I think you are underestimating the number of who have a little more money than the average schmo and want in on this great new fast money fad (thank god for my bank account)

ive seen some rich ass people playing craps and slots and whatever at casinos. just because someone has a high paying job and a college education doesnt mean theyre smart.

tbh though im not sure where the high stakes money comes from in online poker myself. youd think the fish would quit really quick after losing a couple grand. at casinos everyones retarded though so you can always go play 1000nl+ live and sweep up if full tilt is too tough.

the game, although you (and me, and many others) now do not have this as our main priority, but it is an interesting and enjoyable game. winning long term for some isnt the huge issue, its the enjoyment they get out of it (okay, losing isnt enjoyable, but it will be of interest for these guys to play, hence why the fish see so many flops, they gain interest/enjoyment out of playing).

it is only becuase we are not playing for enjoyment, but instead for profit, that we choose to only see 1/4 of flops.
