Default bet or induce bluff?

$0.50/$1.00

UTG+2 ($45.00) (Hero)
MP1 ($40.00) 23.4/5/1.20 - 1.3 hands

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero raises, MP1 calls, 6 folds,

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ( 2.75BB )
Hero bets, MP1 calls,

Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( 3.75BB )
Hero bets, MP1 calls,

River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( 5.75BB )
Hero checks, MP1 checks,

Final Pot: 5.25BB

I dont see here value in bet and more with induce bluff, like you think?

Did he only play pf and left, or what ?

I b/f. He may pay off with A-high or smaller PP.

If he holds a FD he won't bet it all the time. Hero range is pretty much A-big kicker and PP<TT. And Hero is looking to induce a bluff from a missed FD (what other hands would U play like this from UTG+2 (think about it)). That would be my thought if I was villain. Therefor no bluff.

Whether betting out or checking is a better way to get money in is player/read dependent. Is this the type of player to check/call to the river with a flush draw or is it more likely he has Ace-high or a small pair. Put him on a most likely hand and act accordingly. If you think he has a smaller pair or will pay off with an ace then bet out. If he is more likely to have a busted draw then checking to induce a bluff is best.

I think straight forward play like value betting will reward you at these limits. Inducing bluffs and check/raising, etc is not as +EV, your opponents are not that sophisticated.

I think this is good. When MP2 calls turn, his range is typically pretty narrow to a FD a weak king or decent T, small PP or some ridonkulous 2 or 4. Against this range I prefer a check.
