I wouldn't be calling off 1/3 my stack hoping to hit a flush and then a jack against a tight player. If I am playing this hand, I am reraising all in just like he did with the ak.

1200 raise...7K stack...mising how it's 1/3rd

Villain's thoughts:

I has a king! Ship!

Okay, I'll stop now.

Yup, I think this hand can be summed up as follows:

Fold pf > folding flop > shoving pf > calling pf and flop.

for the lexicon:

"ship it" - to push the chips in the pot to the winner of a poker hand

"ship it in" - to shove, to cram, to "rewager. the maximum" as gobbo would say

Many things you can do here, calling OOP and then calling against on the flop OOP at thesse blinds/stacks are not two of them. By the way, I love this thread for other reasons (see above).

He's nitty and he's a button and there is like 1800 in the pot once he raises. His raise is standard button stuff, I think you need to push here. If you call, there is 3000 in the pot and you have 5800 left. This flop is not a bad candidate for a stop n' go with FE against small pairs, AQ, and AK. But not really, I think it's your worst option (besides the way you played it).

You can C/R once he makes a VERY WEAK bet of 1000. I like this play best.

Once the J hits, my goodness, you have to go with it. Look - if you're read all along was that he has JJ+; then by god, please just fold pf. Otherwise, you need to have plans 1, 2, and 3 lodged in depending on what you do.

on the last round he did the same thing and i shipped it w Ak he gave a speech and folded.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm kind of assuming that he's more of a nit in an old cranky sort of way as opposed to a nit who only open raises with TT+/AQ+

With the quote above and stacks this shallow this is just a super standard push pf. He's giving his best tough guy talk to say "arrghh...stop coming over the top of me..., I'll lay it down this one time"...which is all bluster.

Given that you've now shoved on him twice you could totally get a spite call with way worse than AJ. Like Barry said, this is standard button stuff, folding is weak and you are too shallow to "outplay" him post flop. If the stars lined up for him and he got AK or whatever this time around, so be it.
