Default 200nl - AA bvb (bb), sick flop...

villain is SkaDoodle on ftp. he's 22/15/2.6 i have no history i can recall w/him and this is very early in my session.

i have no clue what his call 3-bet range is from oop, but he seems like a competent player, so I'm pretty sure we can assume it's pretty narrow.

SB: $474.65
Hero (BB): $216.65

i felt like i was getting check/raised most of the time on this flop, so I checked opting for a free card and to control the size of the pot.

i don't mind the turn call, but pretty sure you can fold river

you're behind all his hands except for KK....

Whoa whoa whoa.. since when is KK in his range on the river?

Flop check back is fine. It's a bit of a complicated play, but whatever, cause it's not like you're wrecked by his range here unless he's a huge nit.

Turn call is good.. the fact that he potted it is sketchy, but def not enough to make me fold, just enough to make me weary.

On the river just be glad you got a card that forces him to define his range cause you were losing $84 more if the 8 didn't fall.

dont get me wrong, checking the flop is fine,
but i think you're getting ch/r bluffed on this board like never. this flop shouldve NAILED your 3-betting range so its a bad spot to bluff from villains perspective. especially since you're basically an unknwon to him. and there is no flush draw so he wouldnt be semibluffing (i highly doubt he would turn a hand like 99/KQ into a bluff but he would call a bet with them)

This is what I was thinking. People don't c/r bluff here too much. I say b/f flop is the way to go.
