Exactly my thinking, and why I feel a set here

[/ QUOTE ]

The only way he could have just a set is if he C/R with a pair of K's.

If it was checked, I'd probably check behind in the absence of any reads. A decent number of hands that fit within villan's range beat us here.

I forgot to mention, I was planning on checking behind.

My only read was kings up. These players are very bad though. Usually, a raise on the turn is a pretty strong hand.

Some live 3/6 players will make that play with KT or AK. A few frisky ones might do that with QT, especially if the king also gave them a flush draw.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't even consider that, but I agree that is a possibility. To confirm that possibility, villain showed AK for top pair on turn w/draw, trips on river. I was wondering if I missed a raise on the river, or if the times I called 3 bets to a full house would make the raise a loosing endeavor. I was thinking he had a full house more often than not, resulting in a call. I was hoping for the off chance of trips or QJ (three pair on river). 11 to 1 or so to call for that chance.
