How do you play aces here?
4 hands into the session. How do you play this hand? As played, I checked the turn because I was hoping that it would be more profitable in the long run. If he has a flush draw, I give him a free card to see if he hits, if he misses I give him the chance to bluff. As his stack is only about the size of the pot, I dont think he can call a bet here. Also if he has an ace, I am getting his chips on the river by checking.
How do you play it? I think every scenario is correct here, but which is the most profitable in the long run? Re: How do you play aces here?
$7.5 on the turn to price the flush draw.

Re: How do you play aces here?
I assume no but any stats on villian from past sessions?
I'd bet turn..smallish bet though, but if he has a draw and you bet smallish he'll still call....same for if he has an ace. The way this hand went down though you probably weren't getting anything else from him anyway unless he had 2 spades in which case he woulda called something on the turn. |

Re: How do you play aces here?
I know, as soon as his river check I knew that checking the turn was a mistake. However saying that, there are quite a lot of villans who would fold to a bet on the turn, yet bluff allin on the river at NL25.

Re: How do you play aces here?
Exactly. Its not like you are 400deep and facing a hard decision of extraction. Just bet as much as you think he calls on a flush draw.

[/ QUOTE ] True, but I guarantee you there are many more flush chasers than there are bluffers. |

I'd bet 1/2 pot on the turn.
