OP why not value bet ~450 on river?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would usually check this river. You may see smaller aces check behind, but I think that is outweighed by the flush draws, or even straight draws, that take a stab at the pot. That being said I am only checking to catch a bluff.

You shouldn't be considering folding for a second here.

The only way he has a 5 is if he has 5cXc, and if he had you beat before he would have raised you on the turn at least.

This change anything?

90% of the time it's the botched flush draw betting to win.

In this case I think it's something like 5c6c that got a little lucky.

Is this a player who would bet AK/AQ/AJ like this on the river or check behind? I lead the river. As played call and hope I wasn't up against a donkey who played his hand weird.

Fold, the only posibly hands he would bet this river with are AA or TT. I think he'd check if he hit trip 5's incase you have aces full and decided to slowplay (a sick play btw). So he inst value betting trip fives or the A. And of course he would always check behind with a flush draw that missed. Checking the missed draw is perfect poker against weak tight players who laydown AK on AT55 boards for normal bets.

All the above makes this an easy fold. You'll thank me in the morning.

Huh?

Sarcasm dude. Didnt think anyone would be confused. This is an instacall.

I'm sure that's a tell that it is a bluff. Plus if your planning on playing longer, which you probably should against the weak opponents, you should call even more because you will see if a quick bet by this opponent means bluff or for value

After much deliberation i finally called.
Villain shows 5c 2c for pair and flush on flop / rivered trips. generally when playing at a passive table i dont like calling large bets on river with one pair. i rarely see these types of players ( loose passive )fire bluffs on the end. As stated eariler, villain immediatly went to his chips when checked to which threw me off a bit.

feedback was appreciated
