Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
It looks good to me.
The FD is certainly part of UTG's range on the flop so I like the check on the turn and the value bet on the river. |

It looks good to me. The FD is certainly part of UTG's range on the flop so I like the check on the turn and the value bet on the river. [/ QUOTE ] that doesnt necessarily mean its a big enough a part of his range that checking>betting the turn. I'd bet the turn a lot here because a ton of flop calling ranges call another turn bet and rarely bluff when you lead a flush card again if they dont have it to these bet sizes, not to mention when you are up against a flush you still have a good amount of equity in this pot to fill up. If its against a player where you think either a) the flush is a reasonable part of his range (i dont think its a huge part here, it is in his range though) or b) youre only going to get one street of value from him based on his entire range, then checking becomes a lot easier and more clear on the turn. |

Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
With the pot = your stack on the turn, I like to just get it in here, except I wouldn't shove the turn, I'd bet like 750 since this is a $16 sng, in order not to scare him away w/ weaker hands.
If the river blanks out, and he shoves, you're not going anywhere, so I feel like you will be getting stacked by a flush, so you may aswell get $ in on the turn since he may have a pair and a FD, Straight draw+flush draw on turn, as well as other weaker made hands that he's gonna go with on the turn. Oh, and as played bet more on the river, 750-800, or a shove against the right opponent. |

Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
I think we always have to bet the turn here in case villain has a random spade, letting him hit via a free card sucks. The pot is big enough that I'd just stick it in there

Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
Would anyone just check it down because of the all-in? Or is that not an issue?

Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
thats not an issue, i think i just push turn, if he has a flush were probably going broke anyways...

Re: $16 - Set, too scared?
I think you always have to bet the turn here as well, the pot is too big and if he just has a naked spade and then a fourth rolls off, that is not the kind of scenario that makes you happy. As stated, you have outs if he is already there.
Re: checking it down - that is only an issue when dictated by the pay structure (on the bubble, 3 handed) |
