Playing Mid Pocket Pairs OOP Against MP Raisers?

This is a spot i find myself struggling with regularly.

You find yourself in the SB with 77-JJ and a Tag(who you have little history with) raises in MP/CO.

Whats your main play?

3 bet/call/fold?

I generally 3bet and take down the pot. Calling is a possibility if you can handle villain oop postflop.
