25NL: I Has Two Tens!
Villain min-raised a K high board with KJ. I called him down and won with AK. He might be steaming or trying to look like he is. Otherwise, not many hands on him.
I really, really hate felting smaller overpairs because it seems like I'm never ahead. Maybe for 1/2 a buy-in I should be felting this all day though. I'm getting about 1.8 to 1 on a call. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $13.70 BB: $7.45 Hero (UTG): $42.85 MP: $12.50 CO: $13.95 BTN: $25.80 Preflop: Hero is dealt T T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) Hero raises to $1.00, MP calls $1.00, 2 folds, SB calls $0.90, BB folds Flop: ($3.25) 9 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $2.15, MP folds, SB raises all-in to $12.70, Hero folds Uncalled bet of $10.55 returned to SB Pot Size: $7.55 ($0.35 Rake) |

Re: 25NL: I Has Two Tens!
I'd call.
There are so many draws out there that he could have. I'm sure you have more than the 40% equity or whatever you need to make the call here. |

Re: 25NL: I Has Two Tens!
roughly a coinflip against this range, though i might weigh made hands more since he check-raised you instead of donking/check-calling (which people do alot with on the flop with their draws): 99,77,55,AhKh,AhQh,AhJh,AhTh,A9s,Ah8h,Ah6h,KhQh,Kh Jh,J9s,T8s,98s,86s,A9o,J9o,T8o,98o,86o
so, when i weight the range, by giving him much less combos of drawing hands, i get this, which gives you 40% equity. 99,77,55,AhKh,AhQh,AhJh,AhTh,A9s,Ah8h,Ah6h,KhQh,Kh Jh,Js9s,Ts8s,9s8s,86s,A9o,Jc9s,Jd9s,Jh9s,Tc8s,Td8s ,Th8s,9c8s,9d8s,9h8s,86o actually, i should remove even more of the drawing hands. my instinct told me when i looked at your hand that you have about 35% equity. so that's a call. |

Re: 25NL: I Has Two Tens!
Well unless he's really bad he doesn't call with 68. I can see this being something like Th8h or maybe a set trying to kill draws you might have on a semi-bluff. Th8h makes you a favorite in a 55/45 flip. Additionally, he's a shortstack that is likely to be tilting with something like AK here. I see a bigger overpair reraising from the blinds to avoid going to a flop.
I call. |
