Default did I maximise value on these two hands...???

I went to this table cos there were 3 players with 2 or 3 buyins.

Both villains fairly deep, so assumed they were reasonable, or lucky, or both!

had barely sat down when.....

Cryptologic
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.03/$0.06
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $21.03
Hero: $5.94
CO: $6.89
Button: $12.28
SB: $2.27
BB: $17.82

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Hero calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB checks.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($0.24, 4 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $0.06</font>, BB calls, Hero calls, Button calls.

Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($0.48, 4 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $0.06</font>, BB folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $0.3</font>, Button calls, SB folds.

River: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($1.14, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $1.08</font>, Button calls.

Results:
Final pot: $3.3
<font color="#ffffff">Hero shows Kh 6h</font>
<font color="#ffffff">Button mucks 9h Qh</font>

I was thinking of all in, but was not sure he had a flush let alone a good one, so took what I thought I could get....

Hand 1, I hate the limp. If you're going to play, raise, otherwise fold, and I would fold far more often than raise.

Hand 2, you should not fear the backdoor flush! The likelihood of CO calling the flop with 2 diamonds is rare and usually only happens when he had some other piece of the flop. It's a lot more likely he's got a Q, 2-pair or some hand like 85s that you can make some money from. Bet 1/2 - 2/3 pot and hope he looks you up.

Hand 1: Nice result, but I don't like limping from MP. You have 2 people behind you that have position on you postflop. You can't call a raise from them. Furthermore the blinds still have to act preflop, so you do not know anything about the hands of 4 people at your table. It's way too optimistic too limp in here. Just fold, since it's a crap hand

Hand 1 fold or raise if you are going to play, but a fold is much better.

Hand 2 looks fine. Bet more like $1.

Hand 1 is a fold pf. Don't ever openlimp in a 6max game. Raise or fold, and I'm folding here all day. Otherwise I think you played fine.

Hand 2 looks good until the river, where I would make a bigger bet. You can't be afraid of a backdoor flush.

Also, don't post results.

more on turn both hands. 2nd hand more on river, probably a dollar. Pretty rare to see someone river the backdoor flush.
