I can't believe no one has died doing that event. The whole setup is ridiculous.

A+ landing - he gave himself every chance to walk away relatively unscathed.

You know, when he comes off that board - like 20 feet over and 10 feet from the edge of the ramp - he's in an area that basically no one sould ever be. I wonder if they could put something there, not sure what, that maybe would knock you back to the vertical part of the ramp, or you could push off it. Or maybe a net down below or something. Dude could very easily have died. Which might not be too great for the sport.

they should probably be wearing parachutes or jetpacks or something. it's really ridiculous - you could literally kill yourself landing on a flat surface like that. it's no different than me walking off the roof of my apartment building and landing on the sidewalk. isn't that how people try to kill themselves?

at least with ski jumping and ski tricks (mostly) you are landing on a sloped decline which helps a lot with falls. and in the halfpipe you are wearing a board or skis which can absorb a lot of the contact.

Man remove that video.

Also, I am sure these guys know how to land better than us during a whipeout like this, thus greatly minimizing the severity of injuries.

Here it looks like he didnt really get in a good position during impact though.

Sick sport.
