maybe its just me but in a laptop i want small and light, not big and bulky. I would say build a desktop for home and buy a cheap lappy for takin to school/work. Thats what I do.
Toshiba 14.1 for 600 a year ago And a desktop for home (built myself to save money) all under 1600 both are sick machines, dual core etc desktop is a beast for what i paid
