Hey, I resemble that remark (25/18.3/2.04), or do the slightly higher stats take me out of the "slightly too tight" range?

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought the same thing... 25/18/2.2... makes me not want to make the jump ... Then again, maybe my stats would change at a different level, 'cause I'm not opening A7ss after 2 limpers, and you're not getting those limpers at higher levels?

Im another one of those 24/17 TAGS . I feel like I should have a higher vpip with 40% ATSB and 50% fold bb to steal.

great point but my argument would be that a lot of people, when trying to learn poker, just focus on the wrong things. I think this is like 10 fold when discussing inernet poker vs. live poker.

BTW the guy who claims that party 5/10 is beatable for 3BB/100 long term is either an idiot or the best poker player in the world. My guess is the first.

lol, you da man

I actually also play the "slighty too tight TAG (24/17/2.1)" game and it seems to work pretty well

I'm very surprised about all the replies saying 3bb/100 is impossible, I guess I've been running hot then, or maybe my table selection is good, bc all my tables have been packed with doinks who seem to have no clue

this actually makes me wanna reconsider playing online limit at all, I think I'm just gonna give it a go and see what will develop

Okay.

I thought you were suggesting that nikla = Schneids.

nikla claimed 4BB/100 by the way.

Why? It's still pretty sweet money...

It's def possible to 3-6 table @ 1.0-2.0BB/100 ish + VIP points @ 10/20 if your good..

Playing live 10 handed ud have to be playing 100/200 to make the equivalent...

And the slighty too tight TAG stats (24/17/2.0) are totally fine in most games.. It's a fair bit easier to play, and your only sacrificing a little potential value..
It's probabily the optimal style in loose-passive games, especially with a higher rake at the small stakes.

A thing most people forget when comparing styles:

In more passive games your VPIP should be smaller because when there's a raise, you should play much tighter. You should be getting free plays in your blinds frequently so your still seeing plenty of hands (probaibly more so).. your just not VOLUNTARILY putting in money.

Your PFR should also be less because thers more incentive to overlimp and hands that play well heads up lose value.

The correct style depends on the game make up...
In a table full of 15/10/1.6 I wouldnt be surprsied of 40/30/2.0 was somewhat close to the correct style.

The 30/20/2.5 ish style is a nice balanced style because it both allows you to run over predictable TAGs , extract value from passives and not be pushed over by hand reading LAGs. However it doesnt exploit each category to the fullest.

I keep wanted to start a thread about this but never got around to it. What would ATSB and fold BB and SB stats look like for an average 30/20? What range is he opening from which positions?
