Fuper Spot Where Hand Reading Helps

I bet the turn. I'm never checking a hand this strong against a player who bets this small because inducing a bluff is basically insignificant.

I check the river because it's kinda tough to get called by worse--like Bakes said, you're basically value betting A-high, and I don't think that's very realistic.

I ask because I wonder if your hand is too vulnerable to be checking turn here. FD's, SD's, and overs are all threats to your hand. I do realize that a turn lead turns your hand into a bluff and I [may] be comfortable with that (need to think about it longer though).

As played, I think I look to c/c river. I am not comfortable in my belief that I am ahead a sufficient amount of time to be betting to induce a raise for value. Since I only beat air and 77/55/A6s (which is essentially air at this point) c/c will get the most action from these hands while minimizing my losses to big PP's/boats.

edit: In thinking about whether I am comfortable with turning my hand into a bluff, I guess I need to figure out if I can represent a set with this board often enough. Also, I have to decipher what that flop crap UTG pulled means. Is he tryin to rep what I wanna rep?

Once he bets that small on the flop I think his range gets a lot weaker.

sure but i'd rather not get blown off my hand trying to protect against a 6 outer.

What are you trying to say? That if we had a big hand we would have raised PF? Who said anything about us having a big hand?

By the turn we can't rule out that we are ahead some decent % of the time. By river [as played] we have to figure that that % shrinks considerably.

edit: Bakes....Since we don't know what '6 outs' he is chasing we are essentially protecting our hand from much more.

the fact we dont know what he has is even more reason to check, if you think you are ahead go ahead and call again if he bets. but your in a [censored] spot if he calls your lead cuz you have no clue what to do on the river. he could flat you with an overpair and then take you to valuetown on the river and your just playing the guessing game.

i really don't understand why people lead in this spots.

I'm not convinced our hand is best played with intentions of getting to showdown. Thus my questioning a turn lead.
