I don't get why this guy would want to use multiple bots rather than just using one and having him multitable, unless the program somehow doesn't work for more than one table.

I'm surprised nobody catched on this yet.
He does it for the Rakeback. Breaking even is enough.

You do the math...

If you multi table you don't get rakeback? Your post makes no sense.

These replies are to each post/quote in order:

1: FTP only lets you sit and play at a maximum of 8 tables at a time, unless you request more. I'm assuming the owner didn't know you could request more.

2: Yup, and the fact that he IS winning is even worse. Let's say the overall winrate is 2BB/100, and the bot(s) gets in 200k hands a month (although it's probably more). That's $16,000. Plus $8,000 in monthly rakeback according to http://www.getrake.com/rakebackcalc.php

3: I think you just didn't understand the original quote.

He does multi table. Let me spell it out for you, since you are so quick and sharp. If all your botting activity was on one account, and that bot got busted -- good-bye rakeback, good-bye cash in the account. But if you have three (3) bots, each one multi-tabling, then if one (1) of the bots gets busted you only lose 1/3 of your rakeback and cash. Sounds almost simple, doesn't it? Surprised you couldn't figure that out.

[/ QUOTE ]

I see.

I'm watching a few tables and said Hi and he responded....... the saga continues

This is why they will not get closed down. Im pretty sure if someone is using an AKH script for bet sizing and what not, this looks like bot activity to the poker room. I remember back in the Party days some accounts were frozen because of people using AKH scripts that looked like bot activity.

But, if the owner gets them off autopilot occassionally I assume this is enough to get him off investigation.

In addition to what CC wrote, try this:
4 accounts multitabling = 4 times more RB.

Makes sense now? if it doesn't, don't quit your day job at McDonald's....

Indeed, if FTP is either incapable of detecting and enforcing their own rules against bots, or FTP just chooses not to detect and enforce for their own greedy reasons, then it really is incumbent upon other players at FTP to take action of their own.

Obviously, one action that has already been mentioned targets FTP: boycott the site. However, I believe this will only be marginally effective in the short-term, and totally ineffective in the long-run.

Instead, I would encourage players who find themselves at the same table(s) with any of these bots to simply not play with them, i.e., shun them and spread the word to others at the table(s) to shun them. This can effectively hurt the bot owners/operators where it hurts the most...in their wallets.

could you compare these players to some other 14/7 players with large winning sample sizes?

0_drunkenboxer. If the account in question is indeed a bot then owner is controlling it right now.
