Agression factor used in unison with Fold TO CB% and CB% is a useful stat.

What HUD do you use to get this stat? Can you get this stat w/in PT?

[/ QUOTE ]

Google PAHUD (Poker Ace HUD) along with PT.
Check out the software forum, there may be other options available.

If you just go into preferences on Pokerace HUD you can select new stats to show up for different table set ups... You have to drag them to where you want them in relation to the seat they are for.

How many stats do you display on your HUD? I'm still using the default opponent stats for PAHUD, and I'm thinking of adding some additional ones. At first, it was confusing and distracting, but I've gotten used to the HUD.

Also, how high does the SB and BB's "Fold To Steal %" need to be before you're willing to steal with ATC from button or SB?

Noob question:

I've seen many regulars post charts of their winnings over a running total of accumulated hands. Is this chart available in PT or are you regulars using some other application for this chart? I have been unable to duplicate this chart in PT.

I can help with that one.

I like the graphical view of how things are going.

It will be much more valuable to your play if you figure this out yourself. Punch some stuff in Pokerstove. I don't have the fold to steal percentages up, I just go by their VP$IP and PFR%, I might be missing some value but oh well. I posted a pic of my HUD in a thread about them in this forum. I'll see if I can find it.

Here's the link to where I posted mine

put this in the search function for subject only

make sure you change the newer than thing to 1 year or 4 years or something or you won't get any good results.

What is the big difference between 6handed and 9-10 handed? I've played some of both at micro level at stars, but I can't really see any difference, other than I loosen up a bit more because of the number of players.

I don't know the difference, and I'm a winner in both games. What am I missing?

It's all about information processing. I can only process so much at once. If you can take in and apply alot of information about an opponent quickly, assuming you multi-table, then put up alot of different stats. As I get comfortable I add more information.

At this point I'm using my stats to give me an overall impression of my villains, not necessarily a good read. Playing NL10 and NL25 I find that I don't play enough hands with any one individual to get a really good stats read. I display VPIP, PFR, Post flop aggro, and %Went to showdown. I also show # of hands played, which gives me an idea of how close to accurate the stats are.

As far as blind stealing, I just usually look at VPIP for that. As VPIP goes up the quality of hands that I will try to steal with goes up. Edit: Oh, and stack sizes need to be taken into account a bit also.

I've seen a few posts where people are using Aggression Factor when assesing what a 'donkbet' means (She has a high aggression factor so a donkbet doesn't mean much, for example)

That's the incorrect stat to be looking at right? Isn't BetFlop% a better stat to be looking at when assesing donkbets?

It seems obvious to me, but i've seen lots of people drawing inferences from Agg. Factor. Am I missing something there by taking the aggression factor stat too literally (ie. How often somebody raises&bets versus how often they just call)?

I think thats n00bish enough to go in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

i dont use this stat to infer much about thier donk bets. generally donk bets from TAGs mean they hit a set and are tryying to pressure u into raising (very +EV play in multiway pots when u have ppl to act after u). and LAGs just do it

most ppl over-use the AF #. that number doesnt have much meaning because it doesnt mean anything until u get to a big sample size (400+hands)

[/ QUOTE ]

Agression Factor doesn't take folding into account. So if I folded every hand that I missed the flop and never called but always bet or raised when I hit the flop my agression factor would be infinity. I've seen people infer that the higher the agression factor the higher % chance that the person is bluffing, that's not true.

People seem to refuse to learn this and even when I have linked them to the information, they have written out responses like I didn't check the link but you are wrong, lol.

Agression factor used in unison with Fold TO CB% and CB% is a useful stat.

Link please?

lol, weren't you the one that told me I was wrong but I'm not looking? It's in the SSNL sticky maybe, I can't remember for sure and I'm not going digging for it again, sorry.

AF = Bet + Raise / call <-------- No fold accounted for.
