Default Henderson, NV poker?

My wife and I and some friends are going to Vegas this Thursday, staying out at the Ritz at Lake Las Vegas (don't ask me why we are staying out there, long story, not my or my wife's first preference). Anyway, I may get a chance to get away for a limited period of time to play some poker while I'm out there and it appears that Fiesta Henderson or Sunset Station are the closest two options. Any information on them? I'm not worried about the difficulty of the games, given my limited time, I'm just curious if they'll have 4/8 limit or higher or any 1/2 or 2/5 NL. Thanks.

Evenings should be no problem finding any of the above.

Greenvally Ranch is the place to go---
easy drive from Lake Las Vegas. Right off the freeway. Only about 20 minutes max drive time.

Fiesta Henderson is definately the closest to you (about 7 mils from LLV), but you will probably not like their game selection (standard spread is 2/4 and 3/6LHE with a $40 max white chip NL game on weekends).

Sunset is a little further, and has 3/6/9 and 4/8 usually.

GVR, as others have said, is your best bet. Though it is about 10-12 or so miles from LLV, it will have the most games and the widest selection, with standard 1/2NL and 2/5NL running pretty much 24/7. 2/4 and 4/8 is also common spread.

As always, check out the main site and the forums at www.allvegaspoker.com for additional info on these rooms.

Thanks guys, and you especially LVM, I checked out your site earlier--some good info. I won't have a car out there, just be taking cabs. Given the other things we have going on this weekend time is of the essence--GVR looked the best, but wasn't sure how much longer it would take me to get there--only about 10 minutes more or so?

Definately more then 10minutes (it will take you that long just to get from LLV to the 215 easily, which is where Fiesta Henderson is. If there is no traffic, I would say 20-25 minutes.

Nope. Joker's Wild ftw! Turn right on Boulder highway and it's about 1/2 mile up the road. About 4 miles closer than Fiesta. But trust me, dont waste your time, lol.

Lol. Joker's Wild actually showed up on the Cardplayer room locator, but something told me it wasn't worth asking about.

If you hit 215 West-bound at the wrong time of day (usually from about 2:30-4, traffic in Vegas is goofy) then the trip to GVR will be a PITA.

OTOH, at pretty much any other time, with a competant cabbie, the distance between Fiesta Henderson and GVR can be made up in 7-10 minutes at absolute most.
