Flush on paired board
Villain seems pretty spewy, playing 53/7/0.6 A few hands earlier, I took ~$20 from him when he felted TPTK against my flopped two pair, and he has made some other pretty marginal calls.
UTG ($24.30 in chips) UTG+1 ($28.50 in chips) MP1 ($14.25 in chips) MP2 ($14.95 in chips) CO ($11.60 in chips) BU ($24.40 in chips) SB ($23.55 in chips) Hero ($42.25 in chips) Dealt to Hero in BB Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] One fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, one fold, MP2 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, BU calls $0.25, SB completes, Hero checks Flop ($1.5): 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets $0.75, UTG+1 raises $0.75 to $1.50, one fold, CO calls $1.50, two folds, Hero calls $0.75 Looking back, there doesn't seem to be much of a reason for this bet, as I'm definitely not going to take the pot down here, and I probably don't want to be building a pot here. I think the call is mandatory, though. But the next two streets had me stumped. Turn ($6) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero bets $4, UTG raises $4 to $8, one fold, Hero calls $4 River ($22) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $18.75 and is all-in, Hero??? |

Re: Flush on paired board
He doesn't seem very aggressive but he would think any 7 is good here, so I would call

Re: Flush on paired board
Don't draw on paired boards that started 6 ways on the flop to a non nut flush. As played I have no idea.

Duh, that's like rule number 657 for TAGs. So do you fold your BB pre-flop? Obviously you don't lead out, but for the price, you'd fold this? I agree with OP, don't lead out on the flop here...see what happens, but I'd be calling a small bet with such a nice draw. Lots of hands play this aggressively. The only thing to fear is a boat. Benjamin is right, any seven plays it like this. Only one other flush beats us, so that's not really a concern. I think I'd call. |

Re: Flush on paired board
I would call it on the river but i wouldnt necessarily like it. You blew it on the Flop. Check it see what the situation is when it comes around to you. Most likely dump it with the paired board on the flop.
